Signs of life….and oh, do they make me happy. The crocuses beside the driveway. The robin in the yard. The daffodils at the mailbox. The magnolia tree down the street doing what it does every April, absolutely gorgeous and completely unbothered. Lacey is the first to know….her nose goes into overdrive on our Madison land trust trail walks as the earth starts to thaw, picking up every single sign of spring the way I used to feel walking past the cosmetics counters at Saks. The whole world waking up at once! Life! Color! Hope!
